The independent non-executive chairman of JSE listed ArcelorMittal and an independent non-executive director on the boards of JSE listed companies Adcock Ingram Holdings Ltd, Nedbank Group Ltd, Nedbank Ltd and Sephaku Holdings Limited.
He further serves as chairman of Epitome Investments (Pty) Ltd, New Nishati Investments (Pty) Ltd, Information Technology Alliance (ITNA) (Pty) Ltd, the Boardroom Alliance (Pty) Ltd. Further he is a non-executive director of BioTherm Energy (PTY) Ltd.
In April 2016 he was one of 14 trustees appointed by The President of the Republic of South Africa to serve as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees of BRAND SA.
During the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Mpho led the team that kept the lights on; as Interim Chairman & CEO and as Chairman of Eskom from 10 June 2010 until his term as director concluded on 27 June 2011, after serving on that board for nine years.
He is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board at Investing in African Mining Indaba.
Derrick is a qualified actuary and the co- founder and director of Jaltech (Pty) Ltd.
He has extensive experience in providing financial and commercial advice on transactions, particularly relating to M&A and highly structured corporate finance deals. He works with private and public sector clients on project and transaction structuring, debt and equity finance, due diligence, and project co-ordination.
Before Jaltech, Derrick was head of business development at Liberty Africa, where he advised on product development and acquisitions in Africa.
Mano has board and executive level business experience across a number of industry sectors and business functions.
He spent his early career years in engineering, manufacturing and logistics. He has served large JSE listed retail organisations such as SAB, Woolworths and Edcon in senior executive positions.
He has held directorships with many Imperial Transport and Logistics, Synchrony Logistics, The Cold Chain, Ellerines Holdings and Ellies Holding.
In addition to his corporate experience in turn around and transformation of poorly performing organisations he has also been involved in a number of start-ups. Mano is currently involved in start-up ventures and serves as director of Oncall SA, Sentience Group and Essay Gifts.
He also currently serves as CEO of Imperial Logistics – consumer division.
Gaurav is a qualified actuary and co-founder and director of Jaltech (Pty) Ltd.
He specialises in corporate finance, structured finance, business feasibility and international finance.
Before Jaltech, Gaurav worked as an actuary in the reinsurance and life insurance sectors (at Liberty Life and Hanover Re respectively), performing technical and strategic roles. Gaurav has founded five companies in varying fields such as nano-technology and water treatment.
Zukie has served as CEO of Thebe Capital responsible looking after a portfolio of strategic investments across various sectors.
Her diverse professional experience ranges from general management, finance, corporate governance, strategy, restructuring, business development, through to sales and distribution. Zukie has served on a number of non-profit, public and listed boards including, but not limited to Shell SA, Altech Netstar, Vodacom SA, SAfripol, STISA and Sekelo Oil Trading.
Prior to joining the Thebe Group, Zukie held various senior positions at the Barclays Africa Group, Old Mutual Retail Mass, Royal Bafokeng Holdings and South African Breweries.
Zukie is the recipient of a number of business awards in recognition of her, vision, leadership and achievements.
